Pilates is a wonderful well-rounded form of exercise. It is not just about stretching nor just about abdominals. Pilates teaches you to work from your core, but is a full body workout that uses springs to create resistance in addition to working with one’s own body weight. Pilates creates a body awareness that most people don’t have, it helps to bring strength, flexibility, and balance back to a person. The thing that drew Marie in the most and what made her decide to become an instructor was how much Pilates can help people do what they really love and do it better. Whether it is golf, running, swimming, cycling, strength training or just starting out, you name it and Pilates will help.
At AB & Flow, the goal is to bring people together with all different fitness background with the common goal of getting fit, having fun and feeling great! Pilates is not the end all be all workout BUT it is going to help you be better at whatever it is you love doing - even if that is sitting on a patio drinking Rose.
About Our Classes
These sessions are all about you! One-on-One attention, focusing specifically on your needs and goals.
Bring your friend! Everyone loves working out with a buddy and duets are great for that. This is a semi privatesession (two clients) with one instructor where you will receive more personalized attention than what a class setting offers.
Anything but basic, this class will awaken your muscles…all of them…so leave your Starbucks and Ugg boots at home! #BasicAF is a great intro to Pilates for newbies, those who need a refresher or those who have done Pilates via the mat version.
#FitAF offers a faster pace geared toward those who have taken a few Pilates classes and are familiar with the basic positions and equipment (i.e. Reformer and Chair). Looking for a challenge that’s both mental and physical? Ask, and you shall receive.
No cliff diving necessary, if the rush of adrenaline is what you’re after you can get it right here. At Ab&Flow we thrive on pushing ourselves beyond the status quo. #ExtraAF is unlike any other “advanced Pilates class” you may have taken in the past. This fast-paced class offers a completely new experience for regular Pilates enthusiasts looking to up their game!
To put it simply, Pilates is geared towards lengthening and strengthening our bodies. With that said, we all want to get #SweatyAF every now and then, am I right?! This jump board class will elevate your heart rate through cardio movement while maintaining Pilates principles we know and love.

Marie Distasio: owner
"In life, you are given one body never forget that, love it, challenge it and push past your limits."
Marie is a BASI Certified Pilates Instructor, she has been teaching Pilates for 10 years. Marie first found Pilates while training for a half marathon, she had become injured during her training and a physical therapist recommended she continued doing Pilates throughout her training to help correct some of the imbalances that she had. Once she gave it a try she was hooked!! Marie loves the way Pilates compliments fitness and creates a body awareness and strength that no other form of exercise does. In addition to being a Pilates instructor, she has experience as a Personal Trainer, cycling instructor and certified TRX instructor. Marie believes in focusing on more than just one type of exercise and likes to keep her clients guessing by providing experiences that are challenging, different and most importantly, fun.

She believes Pilates is the perfect complement to any and everything you do throughout the day. Whether it’s reaching for a glass in the cupboard, driving long distance, running around the block with your pup or lifting heavy weight, Micah’s intention is to show you how Pilates expands your mobility through movement.
Natalie Hopkins: Instructor
“Pilates can change not only your body but mind and spirit through lengthening, strengthening, and aligning you.”
Natalie found Pilates in college after struggling to find a workout she enjoyed. Once she tried Pilates, she fell in love and became a Certified Instructor. She grew up studying health and wellness and took Nutrition courses in college to manage a digestion disorder she wanted to heal naturally. Her passion for Pilates came from how amazing she felt during and after time on the reformer. She believes that Pilates can change not only your body but mind and spirit through lengthening, strengthening, and aligning you. Natalie’s goal is to show you how amazing you can feel in your own skin in a mindful and safe way!
